About Noam Shargorodsky
I'm Noam Shargorodsky — an artist who has been creating custom ketubahs for the past seven years from my studio in Efrat, just outside Jerusalem. Over the years, I've had the privilege of creating ketubahs for over 1,500 couples from across the world.
I'm passionate about two things: art and Judaism. My work is where they meet. I draw inspiration from authentic Jewish texts, which I've studied in depth in the original Hebrew, and from the Israeli landscapes around me — especially the Old City of Jerusalem and the Western Wall, the heart of Jewish prayer and hope for thousands of years. You'll often find traditional motifs in my work, like the Seven Species of the Land of Israel — olive branches, grapevines, and more.
How I work
Each of my designs begins as an original painting, created by hand using watercolor and genuine 23k gold leaf. I then offer these designs as high-quality fine-art prints, each one personalized with your names, your text, and your wedding date — so you get all the beauty of the original artwork, made uniquely yours.
I also offer papercut ketubahs: my original designs, precision laser-cut for crisp, intricate detail, and personalized for your wedding.
My style is both contemporary and timeless — a creative reformulation of ancient themes that feels at home on any modern wall. You can choose a design from my collection or work with me on a fully custom piece.
For every couple
I create ketubahs for couples of every background: Orthodox, Sephardi, Conservative, Reform, Interfaith, Egalitarian, secular, and same-sex. I offer a full range of text options to match — and I'll guide you through every step, from choosing your text to the finished piece arriving safely at your door. Most orders are ready and delivered within 4–6 weeks.
As seen in
My work has been featured in The Knot, Smashing the Glass, and ketubah.com, and I'm a listed artist on ketubah.com.
Why it matters
A ketubah isn't just a contract you sign and put away. It's a piece of art that holds the moment your marriage began — and a daily reminder of the home and values you're building together. My hope is that yours stays on your wall, sparking thought and conversation, for many years to come.
When I'm not painting, I'm at home in Efrat with my husband Shaul and our four children keeping us all on our toes.
If you're getting married, I'd love to hear your story. Reach out here and let's create something that's truly yours.
